About this cartoon: During Campaign 2020, the Republicans tried to hammer Joe Biden and the Democrats with the "horrifying" term, "socialism" (although the only Democrat who had really used the term, Senator Bernie Sanders, always had the context of European-style "democratic socialism"). But really, much of what has made America a great nation has been "socialism" programs like Medicare and Social Security, worker-safety laws, interstate highways, student loans, and the military and defense umbrellas of the nation.
Noteworthy: This cartoon was created with the input of and impetus by a friend and onetime student of mine, Greg Wright, a Democratic activist in Sherman Oaks, CA.
